Insurance

Will my insurance cover chiropractic services? All insurance companies are different in the coverage they offer for chiropractic. It is typical for an insurance provider to cover a specified number of visits per year. If you are unsure of your coverage, visit our office so that we can help you, or contact your insurance company. In the event that chiropractic is not covered under your insurance, Solomon Chiropractic offers a payment option.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a chiropractor?

A chiropractor is trained and licensed to diagnose and treat muscular and joint problems that can lead to many types of symptoms. Chiropractors are not licensed to prescribe drugs. Instead, they work towards finding the cause of your symptoms and then create a treatment plan which includes the chiropractic adjustment.

What is a chiropractic adjustment?

Adjustments are safe, gentle, and effective movements of the joints and surrounding soft tissues, performed for the purpose of restoring normal motion, position, and function. When a chiropractor moves or manipulates a patient's spinal bones to restore normal nerve function and range of motion, the procedure is referred to as an adjustment.

What is subluxation?

A subluxation is when one or more of the bones in your spine move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves.

How long does it take for chiropractic to work?

It depends upon your overall health and amount of time you have suffered from a condition. Many patients usually feel improvements within a short period of time. Once the condition has been resolved, patients benefit from regular checkups to help detect and resolve new problems, or recurrences of old ones, before they become serious.

Do chiropractors provide care for children?

Chiropractic is safe for children. As with all health conditions, early detection is the key to successful care. It's a good idea to have children checked periodically for neck, spine, and other injuries or conditions.

What should I expect on my first visit?

During your initial visit, your chiropractor will consult with you about your medical history, current conditions/symptoms, and any injuries or accidents that may have caused trauma to your body. You will then undergo a chiropractic exam and the doctor will discuss possible treatment options with you. Most of our patients receive treatment on their first visit to start the healing process.
